Be prepared to have a lot of free time on your hands because the Blue Mage quest can take up to three hours with the boat trip, and the quest itself.

*Note* Before starting this quest I may suggest that you bring three items with you that Waoud may ask for.

Dangruf Stone: Located in Dangruf Wadi (I-5) See Map. You can obtain this at any time, also you can use the geysers to get to higher places for people who don't know.

Siren's Tear: Located in North Gustaburg (J-9). See Map. Another easily obtained item. Look for a ??? by the south bridge near the river. *Note* Remove all equipment before touching the ???

Valkurm Sunsand: Located in Valkurm Dunes (H-9). On the beached ship during Earth type weather. See Map.

To start this quest head to Aht Urhgan, and find a man named Waoud on the upper floors of the city at (J-10). Once you speak with him, he will go on to a test which you have to complete for you to get the next part for Blue Mage. You can answer the test by simply using the third choice for all the questions. If correct, Waoud will speak of seeing all five elements in the form of snakes.

*Note* If you should fail the test, Waoud will charge you 1000 gil and you will have to wait till 0:00 to try again. Now zone out to another area and go back to Waoud in one game hour. Or when the clock hits 0:00. Then you may go back to Waoud and trade him the item. Waoud will send you next to Aydeewa Subterrane where you must find the pool. See Map. A steep ramp that is to the left in a big room will take you to the pool. Walk into the pool and you will receive a cut scene. You will be given the option of, "Do you want to get the power of the Immortal?" If so, take his hand. You can now become a Blue Mage. Congratulations!
